You don't see banners or some pictures?
If
you do not see any banners your “Microsoft Virtual Machine” (Java Virtual
Machine) could be
damaged or missing.
This happens sometimes when you upgrade your browser or operating system - e.g.
Windows XP surprisingly no longer incorporates this file by default due to a
"current dispute" between Microsoft and Sun Microsystems (who make
Java). Upgrading to XP is usually OK as the Java file should already be on
your computer, but a complete new system may not have the file. (Most new
systems suppliers e.g. Dell and Compaq do pre-load it but some other
manufacturers may not). As a majority of websites do require the Java
Virtual Machine to run pages properly, click on this link to
download the correct file from Sun to correct the problem (this may
be up to a 40 min download depending on the speed of your connection - "but
it's well worth it"! )
