Indices

We are not able to provide a detailed indice listing following a request from BCIS (Building Cost Information Service) that this information is only available from them.

The information can be found (as a graphical representation) within their free quarterly internet review of the construction industry - "BCIS Quarterly Review".

The Indices information is also available in detail to subscribers of BCIS, and published in text form (quarterly) or online (updated fortnightly) by being a full BCIS member or alternatively subscribing to 'BCIS Indices and Forecasts' (Mar, June, Sept, Dec) which gives basic indice information for £80 per issue or £250 for all four.

The much more detailed indices information that is available to all Full BCIS subscribers, also provides a detailed database of thousands of individual project costs (for use primarily by Quantity Surveyors). The extra indices cover Public Sector/Housing/Private Sector/Private Commercial/Private Industry 's also Southern Eastern Sample/Rest of UK sample also Refurbishment/Housing Refurb/Non Housing Refurb also 12 regional cost indices .

The full BCIS Subscription cost  is £560 pa (£420 to RICS members)
or £820 pa (£590 to members) for the (more comprehensive) 'on-line' version

(BCIS is a division of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)

Or Use a QS !
Another way of getting the indice information of course is to use a Quantity Surveyor who is himself signed up to the service (and most are!) Link to our listing of QS's here!

Or perhaps another useful Index for you might be our link to the Halifax House Price Index ?
